Monica Auriemma
Monica studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples (Italy) 1985 – 1989 .
With a strong background in classic 2D drawing and painting, and ability to use graphics software ,she developed a powerful and colorful style ,combining computer graphics with drawing, painting and waste materials, creating a kind of mixed media collage.
She mainly worked in publishing, children’s book illustration, greeting cards design and advertising .
Her first picture book came out in 2005. Since then published with several publishers in Italy, France, UK and US ,and took part in various exhibitions in Italy and UK.
Since 2012 she moved to London (UK) where she currently lives and works.
Excellent freehand drawing • Proficiency: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Images created from the initial sketches to the final illustrations.
